Eighth Annual Bookmark Art Contest!!
The Eighth Annual Bookmark Art Contest will be held Tuesday, September 6-Friday, September 30, 2016 for grades 3-12. There will be winners in these grade categories: 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12 for Coffee and Atkinson Counties. Winners will receive a Wal-Mart Gift Card, framed certificate, and copies of their bookmarks!! All winning bookmarks will be given out at Satilla Regional Library locations in Atkinson and Coffee Counties!

This year's theme, "Turn the Page..." Contestants must turn their form in to any Satilla Regional Library branch IN PERSON starting Tuesday, September 6, 2016. No entry forms will be accepted before that date. One entry per student. All entries are due Friday, September 30, 2016!! (Douglas and Pearson locations will be open that day).

Winners will be notified by phone and winning bookmarks will be posted online.

NEW! Pearson Legos Architecture Program

We will be starting a new pre-teen and teen architecture program where there will be various stations with making new creations out of Legos, specific structures to make, and art!! Lots of fun and learning opportunities!

-First meeting-
Monday, October 24, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 pm. at the Pearson Public Library.

Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to have a great time with their peers planning young adult programs, helping recommend books to order for young adults, and planning fun activities for teens! Earn volunteer hours for participating in Douglas or Pearson Teen Advisory Groups! Refreshments will be served.

Teen Radio Spot Auditions for NEW Young Adult Books!!

Come and audition for a spot on the radio to promote our new young adult books at Satilla Regional Library System!! This is on an on-going basis!!

Volunteer @ Your Library
Are you thinking about college? Are you looking for a career? If you're looking for a great way to make yourself stand out from the crowd, then look no further: volunteering at your local library is an excellent way to gain customer service, computer, and programming experience. We're looking for volunteers ages 15 and up to help with youth programming, basic computer help, shelving books, designing displays, and a variety of other tasks. More information HERE.
