Cell Phone Use
All cell phones must be on silent ring and all conversation on cell phones must be done outside the library building. One exception, the staff cell phone can and will be used in the library building to conduct library business and to confer with other staff members when they are away on library business. Violation of this policy will be handled under the Problem Patron Policy guidelines. Patrons may have their library privileges suspended for a period of time. All disciplinary action will be handled by the Director.
Circulation
No patron may check out any books or other materials if they owe $10.00 or more or if they have at least one overdue item. If an item cannot be renewed it must be returned before further checkouts. This policy can only be waived for reasonable special circumstances, decided ONLY by a professional librarian on duty.
Collection Development Policy
Computer Check Out
Be aware that use of the Internet is a privilege, not a right, which may be revoked at any time for inappropriate conduct in the Library or online using the Library's online connections. A library card, in good standing, from a member library of the Satilla Regional Library System or Georgia Library Pines, is required for computer use, both for reference and Internet computers.

Patrons are allowed a thirty minute session with additional time if there is no one waiting for a computer.

Meeting Room Policy
Problem Patron Policy
Patrons that are unruly, disturbing, offensive or abusive to other patrons and/or unruly, offensive or abusive to staff may have their library privileges suspended for a period of time. All disciplinary action will be handled by the Director.
• 1st Offense - Written Warning by the Director
• 2nd Offense - 1 week suspension of library privileges
• 3rd Offense - 1 month suspension of library privileges
• 4th Offense - 1 year suspension of library privileges
Any suspension may be appealed to the Regional Board of Trustees, and their decision is final.
Solicitation Policy
Solicitation or delivery of goods or services is not permitted in the buildings or on the grounds of facilities operated by the Satilla Regional Library System. Groups engaging in fundraising where all proceeds benefit the library are acceptable.
Unattended Children
All children under nine (9) years of age must be accompanied by an adult or adult caregiver when present in the Library. No child under the age of nine (9) may be in the Children's Library without parental supervision. All parents will be responsible for the actions of their children while in the Library. Violation of this policy will be handled under the Problem Patron Policy guidelines.
